Frequently Asked Questions

How long does one tablet feed for?
One application is designed to feed for a full growing season. Nutrient release is driven by moisture and temperature, so it tracks your plants' growth rather than a calendar.
How many tablets should I use?
Start with one tablet per plant for containers and baskets, and space tablets through the root zone for larger beds and shrubs. Follow the dosing guide on the package for your container size.
Where exactly do I place the tablet?
Push the tablet into moist soil at root level, ideally at planting. For established plants, place it a few inches out from the stem where feeder roots are active.
Can I use TABCOTE® on vegetables and herbs?
Yes. Tomato & Veggies is formulated for fruiting and leafy edibles, and All Purpose works well across mixed edible and ornamental plantings.
Will it burn my plants?
The rate-regulating coating meters nutrients out gradually, so you avoid the salt spikes and root burn that come from over-applying soluble feeds.
What happens to the coating?
The coating biodegrades in the soil. There are no microplastics or plastic shells left behind at the end of the season.
Do I still need to water normally?
Yes. Water is what activates and drives nutrient release, so keep your usual watering routine.
Can I combine TABCOTE® with other fertilizers?
You generally will not need to. If you already feed liquid fertilizer, reduce or stop it to avoid over-feeding.
